Weekend Update April 19th

I’m not going to write too much in this post because time is a luxury I don’t have at the moment. I am currently playing slave driver in a group trying to get everyone to email their slides to me so that I can assemble them. This is proving difficult and I can only hope that all is done in time.

I must apologize for telling everyone to shatter a puppy. I didn’t really mean it. I hold nothing against puppies, so long as they don’t yip and bite. Perhaps this week I will direction my aggression elsewhere.

New game came in the mail; Jade Empire. It’s made by, possibly my favorite company, Bioware. Bioware is known for such great things as Baldur’s Gate and Knights of the Old Republic. I’m excited to play this, but find I don’t have enough time and put it off in favor of constructive activities.

The weekend was fun. Went over to Greg’s on Friday to play some poker and chill with the guys. Great fun and good to see that most relationships are healed, or at least the more important ones. The rest of it was spent playing KOTOR (See Knights game above). I picked it up because Jade Empire took 5 days, when clearly I told them to ship it in 2 days. None the less I gave them a tongue lashing and was done with them.

That’s about all, if I think of something else, you will know because I will post.

shatter a squirrel

LP – Just one and it’s pretty funny, especially for those who go to the U of M

"They’ve got 4 legs, we’ve got 2"

  1. That was awesome. I think we should form a team.

  2. That video made me laugh so hard. Where do people come up with this stuff? That would really be hard to do though, squirrels are fast and mean. You would get such a work out.
I think I would prefer being a cheerleader and just watching…too much physical activity for me, but way fun to watch.

  3. I agree with Elizabeth. I can see Justin and Rich chasing squirrels. We could be great cheerleaders.

  4. You will certainly have a chance this weekend. We have picked up a lot of the acorns, but there are still plenty out there for bait. I wonder if Chipmunk tag would be a minor league sport. I had one run right past my nose when we were digging trench across front. We could top that off with dead mouse field goal kicking. We have caught at least one mouse every time we go up there. (You will have to find someone else to hold them for you though.)

PS. If we have time and the weather holds I am thinking about puttin in the boat.

PPS. You know Rocky trained for his fight against the Russian by chasing chickens in the snow in Siberia.

PPSS: Is there a penalty for stepping on the squirrel?

  5. haha that was pretty awesome…I agree, for some reason I can definitely see Justin and Richard doing that. Maybe John could be the on-site doctor if someone were to step on a squirrel or perhaps even be bitten. I like the "Almost better than tacos" comment at the end, that was almost as funny as seeing those chubs run after an animal with more brain power than the three of them combined. Shattering a squirrel is much better than a puppy, Rich. Good job.

  6. I seem to recall an incident at Middleton, I don’t remember if Richard was there or not, but we were chasing around this mole like creature. My dad got there just in time because I got close enough and tried to pick it up that it bit me. I remember my dad running up and stomping on it so we could get it tested for rabies (I wasn’t old enough at the time to realize I could get really sick from chasing unvacinated rodents). In either case, it all worked out, and we dont think I have rabies.

Racing was good this weekend. Let’s do it again.
